Glock uses the 10 coil spring the the 19 length magazines from the factory for the 40 s&w. And many people have used them in standard 19s for years. I beveled it with a metal file at a very slight angle, removed the plastic at the edge, and sanded it smooth to 400 grit. Before going to the range I took the mag apart and checked the spring and did a little sanding inside the mag on the polymer side, on the sharp edges of the follower and the top edges of the the mag. Nothing drastic with the mag, but just a little touch up.
