They don't automatically equip when you buy them or take them out of storage. Make sure you have your items out of storage (the right side of the storage menu), then go to the 'main menu' and 'nventory' and equip it to a key at the bottom. I've seen this brought up once or twice, but with the recent release of a new weapon pack, it's become relevant again. I absolutely cannot stand the fact that when you buy a DLC that includes weapons/gear, the game just hands it to you. This isn't theHunter Classic. This game has progression systems in place. I like those systems. I like progressing and earning things in my game.
