I've found top tier armor that sells for 600k plenty of times.To get survived status you must either earn 200xp or extract when there is less than 8 minutes left on the raid timer. If you were to spawn in on a scav with 6 minutes left you can extract immediately with "Survived". 12.12 reduced raid times so this has become more noticeable, especially with factory.Thought it was a scav at first but it was a PMC that had killed the two relative juicers. Shoreline is probably the worst map to scav in, as a PMC after about 20mins I feel completely safe because I know there are no players anymore. The most loot you'll get as a scav is the village or the pier, both of which are probably looted, and the distances between them are super long.
