tqqq is 3x leveraged so it is only viable in a strong bull market (ie 2010-now like you backtested). tqqq might be one of the worst investments as we move into a recession causing the price to drop to near 0. If you have the stomach for that then go for it, 99.9% of people don't.

On the day of the exchange, 1/3 of TQQQ's assets matches QQQ. Thus 1/3 of TQQQ would be a wash sale and the rest would not. That it is leveraged does not matter. This I am confident of.
