Free movies on demand verizon fios.
Unfortunately, my issue isn't with the individual channel / broadcasts and whether they're in HD or not. So far it appears that 99% of the on-demand content I watch (HD) is 5.1 surround sound. My issue is the movies, the new releases that Verizon is presenting with on demand. NONE of those in HD have 5.1 surround sound.
I was shocked at how poor the Verizon selection of free movies is. For two services that are so comparable and in direct competition to be so far apart on the number of free movies offered is really disappointing. Stupid I know, but it's HBO's fault. The rest of the Fios On Demand is completely useless. They charge for everything and the prices are way too high. I'm not paying $4 for a 24 hour movie rental of a 20 year old movie when I can buy it off of Amazon or at Walmart for the same price, or download or watch it for free on Hulu or something.
