1 Answer. I have a 2008 Pontiac G6 2.4L. the engine light and the traction light came on, with the message of service traction control. I have replaced the spark plugs and the #2 coil as was told by the diagnostics check. I have also cleaned the connections to the bcm an the ecm. the lights are still on and it also shifts hard when put into drive.
The light is still on. I got my friend to run the codes and they came out to be P1682 and P0449 (That code was on there twice.) I did a little research and these are the results I found: P1682 - Low Cat Efficiency. P0449 - Electrical or Emission Canister Solenoid Emission Valve. Temp gauge went to zero, code PO116, replaced temp sensor under warranty, came back again and ignored. Someone posted on another forum that it was a issue with module connection, can't recall. 09 G6 2.4 Sun & sound package-Preferred package. 225/50R17S factory.
