However I recently got a new PC and installed FFXIV. My problem is that randomly the sound will break for a 30-40 seconds and then it will return. Hi lately I've noticed rarely some sound effects being cutout our missing parts. Such as the limit break SFX stopping immediately after the boom sound or the fate complete/level up sound playing for 1.5 seconds and stopping. FFXIV doesn't do real-time checking of which audio device you have engaged. I start FFXIV so it plays through my speakers normally (actually a few notches down) and then plug in my headset for Discord. I still hear the game, but there's no way it drowns out my group.
