If it doesn't have sockets, you need to use the reforging table ( what ever the new enchanting table is) and use the gold tier material ithink (god something) to change it to a mythic or legendary (gold named ) and make sure when you do that it says it has sockets you see empty socket on it someplace. In atm7 there are new apotheosis 'reforge' materials and two new stations. One breaks items down into their rarity materials (ie epic, mythic etc ) while the other uses these materials, and gem dust ( obtained by dropping an anvil on gems) to change the affix of an item, and through that it's stats, effects, and gem slots.

The enchanted books are piped to my Library of Alexandria (apotheosis). Then the pipe from the pipez mod has some NBT filters for apotheosis common, uncommon, rare, epic and mythic itens.
