The Xidas like to ride lower than the ohlins and the ohlins have less travel in the rear. The xidas feel more comfortable on the street (I think it's because the xidas have a dual spring set up to absorb little bumps and dips). Just finished up riding 3500 miles on two short trips I took and and alls I can say is "the Ohlins are indeed a very nice ride". A friend of mine rode my bike to the store, he came back raving about the ride being so well planted to the rode. I had UPP and now have Ohlins!! There is a world of difference, in my opinion. In terms of the spring rate, it may have been a bit of a trade off for solo. Wife liked over stock. Progressive springs up front are doing the job nicely. Share.
