They list the house generally about 10% less than the reserve price. eg. Listed at 200k, minimum they would accept is 220 + you pay min 5k or worse plus a %.

I know the flooding was bad (in the north) but I was abroad at the time so I can't be sure just how bad it was. We don't seem to be getting any answers as to how bad the flooding was/how deep etc. We just know it was the ground floor and garden. Now analysts (namely stock market folks) think it's going to reach 5.5 by the end of the year before slowly coming down from Q2 2024. So many people are gonna be fucked. Although Marple Bridge is lovely and is the obvious choice for prime location, just be aware that the Bridge area was affected by the flooding we've had over the last 2 years, so look carefully at flood risks for specific houses you're interested in and ask questions about any flooding history.
