Most ppl forget that myp come with 21" staggered wheels meaning front tires is different from back, you can't rotate them to saved money and have tires to last longer. Also insurance going to be more for myp vs mylr. However I loved the looks of the myp with all the extras included. I opted in for 20" wheels on mylr.

The model X has a much higher probability of exterior fit and finish issues related to FWD alignment, seals, trim. Unless your wife wants the bigger, faster, more “prestige” vehicle, the model X is not worth the premium. The Y is the better everyday vehicle. You can do $2000 coil overs for better comfort.

In chill mode that extreme acceleration is off. To experience the MYP acceleration, which is insane, you would have to borrow a persons vehicle. The Model Y P brakes fit fine on 19" wheels. You can either grab a set of stock 19's used from a long range model, otherwise TSportline has some awesome options in 19", with tire packages included, or just the wheels alone, if you want something unique and different.
