For me, it's all about the margin costs. Can't beat that anywhere else but IBKR. The reporting, once you dig into some of the custom stuff, is quite amazing as well. Yes, learning curve, but it's a pro platform, not for beginners I think. If you are simply buying ETFs and not using margin I don't see a need to have IBKR.
