Jeep jk running hot.

2015 JK Rubicon 2dr. 114k miles. Mine does the same. I have spent a small fortune trying to find the issue. I’ve had it tested by 2 different mechanic shops for the head gasket issue and both said it’s fine. I’ve changed everything. JKs, especially later models, do run hot for better emissions. I know I've seen 230 just sitting in traffic with zero load. I normally turn the A/C on which forces the Fan to stay on and the temp drops. So I could see 250 with a load, and any liquid is a pretty good load.Thread starter. #9. I read the forum and replaced everything that I could find that would be causing the issue. Fan, radiator (went moshimoto), radiator tubes, thermostat (replaced with ripp), water pump, coolant, air filter, sc oil, engine oil.Overheats Towing. 2011 3.6 WK2 Laredo, 5000# tow package. The JK is still over heating. Coolant is Genuine Mopar Coolant, also. It is NOT consuming any coolant at all, it has not gone down since the last flush. There is coolant pressurizing the hoses and in the radiator. The heater works fine. However, temps are still reaching 240.

When cold 100% of the coolant bypasses the radiator. Also it is not really possible to make the JK radiator any larger in area - only thicker - which is marginal for extra cooling. This is a common problem when doing any kind of cooling system work on a jeep. The JK is well known for being difficult to get all the air out of the system. Often times taking multiple attempts.
