I dont have the manual in front of me but there are certain functions where the 'recirculate' works. When it is able to recirculate, the light will stay lit. When you selected an option that does not allow recirculation, the light will blink and then shut off. Defrosting is not one of possible recirculating options. Not sure if floor is.
