I sent images and my upper back to LMT and they are saying.LMT pistons have a much taller gas block for the piston system so they don't physically fit under the handguards and must be in front of it. If you did a piston 300BLK barrel it would either need to have a longer gas system or you need to significantly cut the handguard to fit.
