You should try removing the positive (+) battery lead for a good while and allow the ECU to "reset" itself. Easier to blame the switch since the orange light works occasionally, plus its easier to replace lol. The code seems to pop up more when the switch is left on and there are frequent starts and stops. I got into some snow and had to get on it to get through the drift and when I stopped shortly afterward I seen a check engine light. Code said 1127.
