Cats.. Got a text early yesterday morning from my roommate saying that I was gonna be absolutely pissed. Turns out my roommates 12 year old cat climbed onto the counter in a fit over not being constantly fed wet food and knocked over an irreplaceable Christmas gift from my father who doesn’t speak to me anymore. Dogs don't belong stuck in your car, stuck alone in your home bored and alone, etc. They don't love their animals at all. If they did they wouldn't treat them like they do. Some just don't like to be forced to interact with animals, such as those afraid of dogs or allergic to dogs and cats. Some are against the idea of owning pets as they feel it is immoral to keep a sentient creature trapped inside a small yard or house. Some are against pets because they are bad for the local ecology and the overall environment.

I want my freedom. I still live at home with my family. My family has 5 dogs (started out with 2, they got together and had more). I've expressed to my mother on multiple occasions that when I get my own place I want to live on my own. No pets, no children, just me.
