It's random enough to feel exciting but more reliable than Shuffle or Primordial which can be unplayable imo. Sometimes it's multiple big oceans you can connect with good Canal cities and build a super trade empire. Sometimes it's 1 big ass ocean and naval strength is viable.

My original attempt was on the seven seas map, but only 1 of the other 3 civilizations had a coastal city for some reason. Very bizarre. Archipelago was a much better choice. ...
