If could be that in 2H or 4H it is close enough to not trigger limp mode, but in 4L it does. Things like gears are clear black and white settings.The other two codes remaining indicate something else (unrelated to oxygen sensors) is faulty. The P0740 is related to the torque converter clutch and no rpm drop being sensed at lockup. Found this while GOOGLING the P0700. The P0700 code indicates that the EATX (Transmission controller) has an active fault and has illuminated the MIL via a BUS ...Check your oil and transmission fluid, and top off if either are low. I have a 2001 TJ 4.0 and it is consistently throwing a P0305 (#5 piston misfire) code and any time the RPM reaches 2800, it cuts out and surges between 2600 and 2800 rpm (exactly like a Rev limiter, assume a limp mode).2015 patriot limp mode issue. Red lightning bolt symbol. Traction control symbol. Check engine light is on. Ran a coder on it revealing a pcm problem but It cranks fine and strong, just not more than 20 mp top speed, High idle, sucking more gas down also. Blowing hot air from the vents now.

Reset check engine light but it still came back on and was in limp mode. Won't shift past 2nd gear. The water/mud was pretty deep. Almost up to the hood. I went straight in, down and realized how deep it was threw it in reverse and backed most the way out. I checked the trans fluid and it doesn't seem to be contaminated at all.
