The FSM doesn't provide any documentation on fuel line routing, connections, etc, and I cannot find a fuel line schematic anywhere. It's a 1990 Wrangler but the block numbers on the 258 say it's from the late 70s. Looks like its been swapped at some point with some nice headers, intake manifold, and carb. Got a lot of obstacles to overcome (mainly wiring-don't have the donor XJ bulkhead harness) and the one that I am working on right now is the fuel delivery.If I had it to do all over again, I'd use the hard plastic line that is used on newer vehicles. So much easier to work with, and is not subject to vibration cracking, work hardening, being crushed etc... 3/8" and 5/16" is what I used. Usually there is no return line on a carburetor as the needle and seat shut off the fuel flowing into the carb. The return line is usually on the fuel pump or sometimes as on many chrysler type systems on the fuel filter itself. I suspect that if the weber is a low pressure design about 2 psi, the regulator will help.
