Biggest issues for the rav4 is the road noise and loud cabin and outdated interior. That said, the hybrid is quieter than the gas model. Kia Sportage on paper is great. Nice interior, up to date tech, quiet cabin, and spacious. Between the two, I’d go with rav4. The Rav4 is a decent car but it's overpriced by about $5k. It has one thing going for it: it's a Toyota, which means it'll probably last a while. If that's the most important thing to you, buy the Rav4. But other than that, it's a worse value than almost every one of its competitors (particularly the CX-5, CR-V, Tucson, and Rogue).
