Yes! I just had something like this happen to me today. Go to your Documents\Paradox Interactive\Stellaris\logs folder and open up game.log. Scroll to the bottom. You should see whatever event caused the crash. One fix is to add -opengl at startup args. If you get red dots/lines after opengl turn off anisotropic filtering at GPU control.
