I took it in and the Dealership replaced a part in it and said it was covered under warranty as the Cruz's were known for this. Aug 31, 2013 · Looking at the manual it looks like the entire inner panel has to come off but I'm not totally sure. I'll look at it in the morning if you don't mind waiting. The inner side of the trunk should reveal how it comes out though. Feed your wires and switch through. Push the switch in to place, it should click and be flush. It has a very specific location to make it sit flush. Remove the trim panel on the left of the passenger footwell to gain access to the bcm.The connector is pink, the wire is yellow with a dark blue tracer.
