Well, the solution is simple. You are suggesting to be added as an option in the settings just like AnkiDroid? I mean yeah it’s not hard, but how hard is it to add this basic functionality to the UI itself. Anki’s settings are stored in the chosen location, so the location needs to be known before the settings are read.
