Don't ever drop the slide on an empty chamber in any 1911 or 2011. It will wreck the trigger job and possibly some of the internals. Also, don't let the hammer drop with the slide off while cleaning. Make sure and ride it forward by hand, so you don't accidentally pull the trigger while cleaning.Staccato C2. Staccato XC with Atlas flat face medium with bow. Love Atlas triggers, put them in most of my 1911/2011's. Coming in just shy of 2lbs depending on the scale. One of my primary considerations in choosing a 2011 is the platform’s inherent precision capability. I don't think the XC is worth the price tag. You're getting tighter finish and a integrated comp for 2k more than a P or C2. I personally sold my XC and got a P instead and carry a C2 daily. But considering you can get it for 3600 makes it a bit more reasonable. I'd still stick with a C2 just because it's more versatile.Also worth mentioning - the XC has a 9 lb recoil spring in it. I believe the stock spring was 8 lbs. Although I haven't had a single malfunction with it, I did notice the slide hesitating when feeding flat-nosed and HP ammo. The 9lb spring took care of that, but I may film the XC again using the stock spring to see how it affects muzzle dip.

Staccato did everything for free, sent it back to me within a week, and called and emailed after to see how everything was. I'd say that's a pretty good warranty, but that's just me… For me personally - doing any work to the slide/frame is not worth losing Staccato's awesome customer service.

I've got several thousand rounds through two DUO P pistols. a 4.15" and 4.45" pistol. They have been extremely reliable, but the 4.45 inch gun shoots a tad softer and flatter. The XC is a cool pistol, but really doesn't fit any sport and is too big to be a realistic carry gun.

Once you hit Staccato you really start getting to diminishing returns. Like if a Staccato is 200% better than a Glock a Atlas is like 25% better than a Staccato.
