Some of the discussion concerned substituting the Cheddites for W209, and the lack of published data for the Cheddites. Tonight I was checking the Hodgdon Reloading Data site to see how I could use Titewad in my 7/8, 1, and 1-1/8 loads, if and when I could find some. I have never previously used Titewad but some of my friends do.

Titewad excels at 1 oz. It can do 1 1/8, too, but is too fast for 1 1/8 Handicap. Titegroup, on the other hand, excels at 1 1/8 Handicap. It is reputed to be the canister grade powder which most faithfully duplicates Remington's Nitro-27 load.
