I thought I'd make most of my infantry Aserai but they're dying like flies (especially the axemen).
Heavy axemen are a great bane of Khuzait cavalry and horse archers. Battles won't be pretty and they won't be fun, but if you form your axemen up into a circle, their shields and armor will let them weather all the arrows that horse archers can throw at them. The sturgian varags, spearmen, and line breakers are a magnificent infantry line up. No real reason to use infantry and Xbows are you bread and butter. The people telling you to use full sharpshooter are correct, just make sure to have about 10%of your army be fast moving strike infantry, Voulgier in the case of Vlandia, so you have a screening force to counter Cavalry charges.
