That doorbell can be both wired and battery-powered. This seems like a major failure on the part of SimpliSafe. I'd like to switch to the SimpliSafe doorbell so everything is integrated, but I'm keeping my Ring doorbell specifically because of the lack of battery options with SimpliSafe.

Simplisafe claims they are concerned about stolen cameras - this isn't true, they want to brick used cameras so you buy a new one. If they actually cared they could verify with the old account that they sold their camera.
