Subaru crosstrek making noise when off.

I bring it back to Subaru and today they inform me the noise is coming from the central diff/ transmission and they ask if I ever took the transmission apart. It really is the exhaust heat shields, extensive on the Subaru because the exhaust is directly under the engine. NO PROBLEM with ticking after shutdown. A little bit more effort (dismantle door card etc.) but helps a lot. Also has a nice side effect of making your car doors sound more premium when closing. It'll add ~10-20kg to your car weight depending how much you add. Speaker baffles help a little bit too as road noise through the door panel goes straight through the speaker cone.
